Mercado Livre and Shopee fees in 2026: how much is left from each sale and how to price per channel
In 2026, Mercado Livre charges 10% to 14% on a Clássico listing and 15% to 19% on Premium, plus shipping costs. Shopee charges 20% plus R$ 4.50 per item up to R$ 79.99, and 14% plus R$ 16 to R$ 26 above that. On a R$ 150 product, the difference between channels exceeds R$ 20 per sale.
How much does Mercado Livre charge per sale in 2026?
Mercado Livre charges a per-sale fee that depends on the listing type and the category. Creating the listing costs nothing. These are the figures from the Mercado Livre help center, accessed on October 26, 2026:
| Item | Clássico | Premium |
|---|---|---|
| Sales fee by category | 10% to 14% | 15% to 19% |
| Installments for the buyer | No installments | Up to 12 interest-free installments |
| Shipping cost | Separate, based on the seller's profile | Separate, based on the seller's profile |
Three rules on the same page change the math:
- Products between R$ 150 and R$ 700, in selected categories, pay a lower fee.
- Kits pay the same fee as the products sold separately.
- Shipping is a cost of its own, based on each seller's profile.
The 5-point difference between Clássico and Premium pays for the interest-free installments. If your customer pays in full, Clássico leaves more in the store. If the product is expensive and sells in installments, Premium may sell more and make up for it.
The number that counts is the one in your account. Mercado Livre itself shows, in each listing's details, how much the store receives per sale.
How much does Shopee charge the seller in 2026?
Shopee charges a percentage commission plus a fixed fee per item, by price band. The table took effect in March 2026, according to Brazil Journal on February 4, 2026. The fixed fee for the first band went up from R$ 4 to R$ 4.50 on October 1, according to BP Money.
| Item price | Commission | Fixed fee per item |
|---|---|---|
| Up to R$ 79.99 | 20% | R$ 4.50 |
| R$ 80 to R$ 99.99 | 14% | R$ 16 |
| R$ 100 to R$ 199.99 | 14% | R$ 20 |
| R$ 200 or more | 14% | R$ 26 |
The March change also ended the R$ 100 commission cap per item. According to Anymarket, in a June 2026 article, Shopee funds a discount for buyers who pay with Pix. It ranges from 5% to 8% above R$ 80, comes out of the commission, and the amount the store receives doesn't change.
Why does a R$ 80 price earn less than R$ 79.90 on Shopee?
Because the fixed fee jumps from R$ 4.50 to R$ 16 at the band change. Ten cents more in price costs R$ 6.62 less in your pocket. The table below applies Shopee's rule to prices near the band changes:
| Item price | What Shopee takes | What's left for the store | Fee as a share of price |
|---|---|---|---|
| R$ 30.00 | R$ 10.50 | R$ 19.50 | 35.0% |
| R$ 79.90 | R$ 20.48 | R$ 59.42 | 25.6% |
| R$ 80.00 | R$ 27.20 | R$ 52.80 | 34.0% |
| R$ 99.90 | R$ 29.99 | R$ 69.91 | 30.0% |
| R$ 100.00 | R$ 34.00 | R$ 66.00 | 34.0% |
| R$ 250.00 | R$ 61.00 | R$ 189.00 | 24.4% |
Two points for pricing:
- Avoid the price just above the band change. From R$ 80 up to about R$ 87.70, the store receives less than at R$ 79.90. Either the product stays below R$ 80, or it goes up enough to cover the new fixed fee.
- Cheap products pay dearly. At R$ 30, the fixed fee alone is 15% of the price. A kit of two or three units dilutes that cost.
How much is left from a R$ 150 sale on each channel?
In this example, R$ 60 is left on Clássico, R$ 52.50 on Premium, R$ 37 on Shopee and R$ 75 in your own store. The math uses a product cost of 40% of the price, R$ 3 packaging and 6% tax. In your own store, platform and Pix cost 2% together.
| R$ 150 sale (example) | ML Clássico (12%) | ML Premium (17%) | Shopee | Own store |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| Channel fee | R$ 18.00 | R$ 25.50 | R$ 41.00 | R$ 3.00 |
| Product cost (40%) | R$ 60.00 | R$ 60.00 | R$ 60.00 | R$ 60.00 |
| Packaging | R$ 3.00 | R$ 3.00 | R$ 3.00 | R$ 3.00 |
| Tax (6%) | R$ 9.00 | R$ 9.00 | R$ 9.00 | R$ 9.00 |
| Contribution margin | R$ 60.00 | R$ 52.50 | R$ 37.00 | R$ 75.00 |
| Margin on price | 40.0% | 35.0% | 24.7% | 50.0% |
The 12% and 17% fees are the midpoints of Mercado Livre's ranges. Your category's fee may differ.
The table leaves shipping out on purpose. It changes with weight, region, channel and account reputation, and each marketplace calculates its own. Add alongside it the amount each channel's simulator shows for your product.
How to read the example:
- Shopee's fixed fee weighs on mid-ticket products. In the R$ 100 to R$ 199.99 band, the R$ 20 per item takes more than 13 points off the margin.
- Your own store leaves R$ 15 more than Clássico and has a marketing cost the table doesn't show. A customer who has already bought once is the cheapest to bring back.
- Premium only pays off if it sells more. It takes R$ 7.50 more per sale than Clássico. Compare the sales of both listings for a month before deciding.
How do I price per channel without losing control?
Set each channel's price from the margin you want, not from the fee. Your own store's price is the reference; the marketplace price covers that channel's extra cost.
- Calculate the real cost of each product: purchase, supplier freight, packaging and tax.
- Choose the minimum margin per product. Fast-moving products accept a lower margin; niche products, a higher one.
- Build each channel's price backward: add cost, margin and fixed fee, and divide by one minus the fee rate.
- Check the band changes. On Shopee, R$ 80, R$ 100 and R$ 200. On Mercado Livre, the R$ 150 to R$ 700 range in categories with a lower fee.
- Review every month with the statement. Coupons, campaigns, returns and shipping show up in the payout, not in the table.
Step 5 is the one that fails most. The marketplace payout arrives with everything deducted, and a store that records only the amount sold finds the difference at the end of the month. Reconciliation per order shows where it came from: fee, shipping, campaign or cancellation.
A rule of thumb for those selling on both marketplaces and at the counter: have a spreadsheet or a system that shows the margin per channel and per product, side by side. Without that view, the channel that sells most looks like the best, even when it leaves the least. Inventory control is the other side of the math: see how to integrate physical and online store inventory.
How CERNE solves it
CERNE brings together orders from every channel and shows how much each sale left, after the fee and the cost.
- Orders in one queue. The website, Mercado Livre, Shopee and the counter land in the same queue. Marketplaces come in through Bling.
- Single inventory. A sale on any channel deducts from the same balance, and the product sold isn't missing at picking.
- Payout checked. Pix, card and marketplace payout go into finance linked to each order. Whatever doesn't match shows up before the close, and a person decides whether to dispute it.
- Direct question. In the AI assistant, the owner asks "how much was left from Shopee in October, after the fee and the cost?". The answer comes with the operation's data.

Frequently asked questions
- How much does Mercado Livre charge per sale in 2026?
- According to the Mercado Livre help center, accessed on October 26, 2026, the fee for a Clássico listing is between 10% and 14%, and for Premium between 15% and 19%, depending on the category. Premium offers interest-free installments to the buyer. Shipping costs are added separately.
- How much does Shopee charge a CNPJ seller in 2026?
- Since March 2026, Shopee charges by price band: 20% plus a fixed fee per item up to R$ 79.99, and 14% plus R$ 16, R$ 20 or R$ 26 in the bands above R$ 80. Since October 1, 2026, the fixed fee for the first band is R$ 4.50, according to BP Money.
- Is it better to sell on Mercado Livre or Shopee?
- It depends on the product's price and cost. Below R$ 80, Shopee charges 20% plus the fixed fee; above that, the fixed fee in reais weighs more on mid-ticket products. Do the math per product, with each channel's real statement.
- Why can selling a product at R$ 80 on Shopee earn less than at R$ 79.90?
- Because the band changes at R$ 80. At R$ 79.90, Shopee charges 20% plus R$ 4.50, and the store keeps R$ 59.42. At R$ 80, it charges 14% plus R$ 16, and the store keeps R$ 52.80.
- How do I calculate the margin per sales channel?
- Subtract from the price the channel fee, the product cost, packaging, tax and the shipping the store pays. What's left is that channel's contribution margin. Calculate it per product, because Shopee's fixed fee and the shipping cost change the math item by item.
